damn

this song is great, its a very nice and catchy DnB track, especially for a soundtrack.
the lead synths were pleasant, very well designed, loved the melody and the progression throughout the song. drums cut through nicely.

sorry about the hearing loss issues.
ironic huh? you can do something as beautiful as bring music to the world but yet not hear it, but you still got your hearing and just by the sound of this song i think you're gonna do just fine
the mastering was great, the song sounds awesome, its a nice DnB track
technically speaking, because of visuals, you can still make music even without the ability to hear, think about it ;p

good job though yo!

Alloud responds:

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed!
I have to remember to swap the channels every now and then to make sure nothing weird is going on in the right channel, lol.

i feel like it could have used a sub bass that wasn't a kick drum
this was a good song however, i liked the progression you had going

EvilNeonArts responds:

I cut out a lot of sub freqs because it was overlapping. Perhaps I need more accurate monitors? lol

there is the age old trick of exporting what you have as rendered audio and then drag it into your mix to make up sections you already completed
really good trick if you have shit processors, its what i used to do on my old laptop
good song none the less my dude
keep it up!

BeauXuan responds:

Thanks man. I generally freeze everything and hope my computer can handle it. I wasn't really fond of where this song was going anyway so I just let it go and thought maybe someone out there might like it. :)
Thank you for your words. :D

the mastering sounds decent actually, i think everything cuts through the mix nice and clean, could try transient boosting on the drums so they stand out more

the toms could use a little less boosting in an EQ to be honest
reverb sounds nice, honestly its a nice recreation
keep it up me dood!

ThomasTsao responds:

Thanks for an actual review. The transient boosting is a great idea, can't believe I hadn't thought of it while making this. I agree with you on the toms, I didn't realize until after publishing. Thanks for the tips!

pretty enjoyable little loop, reminds me of earthbound for some reason
keep it up me dude!

EatMyDonkey responds:

Thanks my dude! Have a good one. :)

dammmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnn this was pretty fucking good dude
that intro, melodic and made me want to hear the rest of what was next
the drums had perfect reverb on them
a little drowned in the mix, those drums should be a good focus on this song, they really help seal the deal
this makes me want to play the mafia games honestly

oh that dark pad at 3:00 SO BEAUTIFUL

overall this song was not bad, it definitely needs more because there is totally something there to be made out of this, pretty cool dude, would be awesome to see you expand on this in the future. keep it up yo!

Bertn1991 responds:

Reading this really cheers me up. Thank you so much for writing such a thoughtful review :-)

If I ever try to finish the song, I'll take your comments to heart and make more of a focus on the drums. Also, I haven't played the Mafia games yet. I've heard good things though.

But yeah, thanks so much again for listening and taking the time to write all this. Respect <3

had some pretty decent wubs in this song
the mastering was pretty good, can hear everything clearly
pretty good song all around me dude, keep it up!

WR4ITHMUSIC responds:

Thanks man! I was worried about the mixing/mastering, but I'm glad it came out well.

aside from the obs nexus this was pretty fuggin good, if only the bass was like 10 or 20Hz lower lol

nice job m8

larrynachos responds:

Man why even buy nexus if people are gonna call you out on it lmao

I don't have good enough speakers or headphones to get the really low sub bass. I thought the frequency was fine though. Thanks for the review!

i like your songs a lot i really do, but when you overuse the one specific patch you made in harmor in every dubstep song, its gets really boring, plus that sound is rather basic too
you do an amazing orchestral job, but the dubstep section, not so much,

sorry for the harsh words m8
3/5

Xtrullor responds:

I appreciate the feedback, I will improve the sound design on the next projects.

im gonna be honest about this song

instrumentation wasn't all that good
some of the sounds threw off the level of enjoyment i was having
it kinda had like 50 seconds of an intro just to lead into a 2 minute repetition

aside from the bad

the pads were cool sounding but they are more 90s retro synth styled
i swear if you took a couple of sounds from here and added some old retro 80-90s beats in here it would work well with the pads
this song has potential and i think it would be much better styled around an old 80s retro theme

it was pretty good all in all, i just think it could use a few more sounds and drum patterns here and there

neonshudder responds:

Thanks. Trying to stay away from 80s retro. Been there done that, not my thing. I incorporate a little bit of it into what I do but I don't want to make that my focus.

HEYYYOOOOO i try to make some cool music, enjoy it if you want! i use FL studio 12.5 and ableton live lite
