fl studio is a very tricky start
my advice would be to get FPC and assign a drum kit to it and load up a premade midi loop and goof off with it, then try adding a bassline with harmor, stick to the black keys since they all sound good together, go from there

not a bad attempt but just watch your timing and synching with the tempo. turn on the metronome to get some help too

ShareeBon responds:

Thank you so much.

try adding some pads and chords to the song, watch the volume levels of your instruments, your lead at 3:37 is a little overpowering
i would recommend using the drums in FL studios drum packs, not the default ones.
try having your drums be the loudest in the mixer out of everything else so they stand out more

you make some nice ambient drones, a lot of these fit into other songs as textures for them and add something else to them, ambient drones are always nice to hear

NekoMika responds:

Thankies :)

watch your lowend compression if you're using maximus, try to avoid going above 5.5bd on an EQ otherwise the bass is overpowering the treble
the reverb is a bit much on this song at least on the mid section, reverb can directly effect your final master and really screw up a mix if used too much
pretty cool song non the less
wayyyyyy far away from complextro, would recommend listening to a few playlists on youtube and just listen to the sound design in the songs and the way they are structured
good song still but i cant even correlate this to complextro

i love the resonance on the basslines you got, very wet sounding, adds really well to the ambiance of some parts
im not a genuine fan of bass wobbles but you make yours in a different way to some extent, its a nice change in pace for once
the sound design in general was pretty cool all around, im impressed with some of the sounds you made and especially how well some of them fit together, the choruses are my favorite parts in this song.
love those screeching sounds,
mastering is nice and clean, can hear everything properly, no muddiness in the bass
good song and good work , keep it up yo!

ZNH789 responds:

Thanks for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed it.

it just sounds like generic Dubstep honestly, the sound design itself is basic FM, the drums are cool sounding but they dont cut through the mix properly, the kick drum past :50 is really weak both volume wise and bass wise, a nice 2.5BD boost with the sub band on and EQ should help.

it lacks a solid bassline aside from the sustained bass layered with the kick drum
the high end on the master could have used some surgical EQing to bring down the high harmonics in the high pitch wobble

did you just download the songs MIDI and imported VST's to each channel? thats not very creative and im pretty sure NG doesn't allow that

PancakePocket responds:

No I did not, all of my works are original, also, stop giving bad reviews on all of my songs just because I gave you a bad review on NG, you are acting really spoiled

hey thats gross beat time manipulation! i love gross beat!
nice and spooky tone thats oddly reassuring, like a broken 50s diner post nuclear war
pretty cool yo

NekoMika responds:

Thanks :)

HEYYYOOOOO i try to make some cool music, enjoy it if you want! i use FL studio 12.5 and ableton live lite
