i can just hear harmors prism filter, very nice sound design for the most part
if you expanded on this i think you could actually make something cool
but still good nontheless
keep it up yo!
you using FL on mac? if so is the beta pretty decent?

DJRadiocutter responds:

Yeah, i love the beta version. The full version is up for grabs on the 18th, and so imma get that one any time now. But yeah, FL is the best.

Actually, it's the phaser filter, not prism, though, i can get how they got mixed up. ;)

And thanks, i agree with the extension, and the only reason i didn't extend, is because my brother took the computer and started a new project on me xP

watch the high end on your snare, a little loud, just a little

reverb like that on your snare? what is this? 1982? jk

dude this song is fucking awesome all around like holy shit
im getting retro electro vibes from an NG song and ive never felt that before
this was a great addition to the audio portal, got yourself a new follower

i love your sound design on the synths and pads, very spacey and melodic, i fucking love it!
the FX reminds me of old scifi movies
the chorus was beautiful and i loved the progression this song had all the way up to the lead because it kept getting better from there
beautiful chord whips too and those tom fills are so....filling lol

seriously dude, good shit right here. this made my night
keep it up yo! can't wait to see more

Slintas responds:

And this review just made my day! Thank you so much. I went back and adjusted the HI on the snare abit and a few other bits and bobs. Should sound fuller/richer now overall.

Again, thank you for your kind words.

i would try to avoid supporting cymatics, they steal from other producers and try to (poorly) recreate peoples sounds from their own songs
plus they are not meant to be made into a full song, the samples they sell are for you to mix with your own stuff which is hard to do depending on what samples you get, much easier just to make your own samples ;p

i feel like you could have done more with the vocals but goodnuff

that snare (:30) should be EQed a little better, it sounds like you cut out the lowmid section and boosted the high end
the snare at :50 sounds really butchered, and pitched really weird
its a pretty decent song but i feel like you could have done more with the vocals, like maybe cut them up and threw them all over the place to help make some additional FX
the vocals and drums were my only issues,
other than that it was a nice mixdown

gg m8 i r8 3/5

sytrus would be a better instrument for you, not harmor just yet

could use a little more thought out melody, pretty good so far though

TeraVex responds:

I agree, this song overall is just a weaker song of mine, if I really had a choice I'd just not include it on the album altogether because it's just kinda there but meh whaddayagonnado

your volume levels on the crashes are so high that its causing ''clipping distortion'', when a sound is so loud that speakers distort the audio because it goes past a projectable DB level

hihats, crashes and cymbals, are all part of the:
''if its too loud to you, its most likely very loud to everyone'' group.
so try to watch your high end compression and volume with those instruments, only problem here was your crash however

aside from that this was a nice mix you got, i like the rhythm and the melody behind this
the vocals were pretty cool too, keep it up yo!

ConnorDeVaux responds:

Yeah, this was one of the older ones, but it's not like I really learned much about recording since then. Thanks though!

cool vocals FX
i wont bother giving an actual review since this song is old and you've obviously improved but i thought it was very nice.

vocals like this make me want to make instrumentals that fit them so it's very inspiring
i like the chorus at 2:12
good job all around yo! keep it up

elektrobear responds:

Thank you!

however you're compressing your songs, try to avoid lowering the volume, boost the gain a few DB
good compositions however

ChadWiggy responds:

Thank you! I'll do that.

that snare should be louder, kinda buried in the mix, i like the drums though.
that chorus around :55 was awesome sounding, the noise helped add a little extra to the song

i think the song would benefit a lot more from having a little more thought out melody, its good but it feels looped, it would be awesome to hear a change up especially since it really fits with everything else!

keep up the good tunes yo! can't wait to hear more

charliux210123 responds:

;) thx dude

good sounding chillstep here
i like the drums and how you made them fit with everything

LuskDeejay responds:

Thanks, glad you like it <3

the songs is mixed together quite well but the vocals could use a boost, always make vocals louder than anything else in a mix if you are trying to make the vocals the main part of the song
good melodies, it progresses very smoothly and nicely
good work yo!

Schematist responds:

Thank you so much! I will keep this in mind for next time!

HEYYYOOOOO i try to make some cool music, enjoy it if you want! i use FL studio 12.5 and ableton live lite
